Encompassing over 96 acres of lakes and woodlands and featuring 23 specialty display gardens, Memphis Botanic Garden is a wondrous destination for nature lovers of all ages. Visitors may explore nature in the Sensory Garden, relax in the renowned Japanese Garden of Tranquility or stroll along the Hyde and Seek Prehistoric Plant Trail, which are only some of the many beautiful outdoor areas open to guests. In addition to its usual areas, the garden regularly hosts art exhibits, summer concerts, horticulture classes and other special events. It is located in Audubon Park past the University of Memphis, about two miles east of the Pink Palace Museum.
